Shrub 0.45m tall × 0.7m wide in 12 years, of dense, compact habit

Flowers: Trusses of 2 funnel-shaped, single flowers. Flowers are 35-40mm long × 40-50mm wide, with 6-8 partly toothed lobes; strong purplish-red throughout, unmarked; colour does not fade in sun.

Foliage: Leaves are obovate, 25mm long × 10mm wide, glossy and blackish green/dark reddish brown above, becoming blackish-bronzed in winter. Evergreen
